A drop impact relieving device relieves drop impact of a free-fall object C, and comprises: a rotor 6 having a plurality of rotary blades 8 rotatable around the horizontal axis 7 and arranged so that at least one rotary blade is positioned on a drop locus of the object; driving means 10 for rotatingly driving the rotor so that the rotary blade 8 rotates in the same one direction as the drop direction of the object and a peripheral speed of the rotary blade becomes smaller than a drop speed of the object; and recovery means 11 arranged under the rotor 6 and for receiving the object after relieving the impact force by colliding with the rotary blade.
