Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a finish state unobtainable in a conventional course and to improve usability by installing the starching means of laundry in a drum type drying and washing machine for washing, dehydrating and drying the laundry such as clothes or the like inside a drum.
SOLUTION: The laundry is put inside the drum 4, the weight and cloth quality of the laundry are judged and operation conditions such as a water level, a dehydration speed and time, etc., at the time of washing, rinsing and starching in a starching course are set first. Then, in a starching process, water is supplied to the water level for impregnating the laundry and starching by hot water is performed by a heating device such as a heater 27 or the like. It is optimum to perform starching by performing impregnation and a water supply amount is increased so as to sufficiently impregnate the laundry with starch liquid. Also, when the temperature of the starch liquid is raised, the consistency of starch is reduced, permeability is increased and soft and elastic starching is performed. In a dehydration process, a dehydration operation is performed at a rotation speed and the time set based on the weight and cloth quality of the laundry detected beforehand.
