To provide a drum type washing/drying machine having a simple and compactly composed atomizing unit, and capable of exhibiting excellent wrinkle reducing effects by preventing deterioration and destruction of an ultrasonic vibrator to generate mist and effectively moistening the surface of clothes at appropriate drying rate.
Water 21 is replenished so that the level is full while the ultrasonic vibrator 32 is oscillated to generate mist 20 till 1/2 T time elapses with T as the time to consume water 21 till the level of water 21, stored in an atomization chamber 31 under the maximum mist generation condition of the atomization unit 30, is zero, and the level of water 21 store in the atomization chamber 31 is detected by a water level sensor 33 when 1/2 T time elapses. If it is not detected that the level of water is full, oscillation of ultrasonic waves is stopped.
