To provide a drum type washing and drying machine which can effectively remove wrinkles, stably deodorize even the clothes of mainly a delicate material and is effective for the clothes of a chemical fiber material.

The drum type washing and drying machine has: a circulation blowing route 9 for drying clothes or the like inside a rotary drum 4 which is housed in a water tub 3 and is provided with peripheral wall through-holes 4c and bottom wall through-holes 4f, etc., by discharging air inside the water tub 3 by the normal speed rotation of a blowing fan 12, performing dehumidification then performing heating and blowing air into the water tub 3a; and a mist supply part 30 on the blowing side of the circulation blowing route 9. The drum type washing and drying machine is equipped with deodorization mode of wetting the clothes or the like inside the rotary drum 4 by mist 20 supplied from the mist supply part 30 without being accompanied by the rotation of the rotary drum and then drying the clothes or the like by heated air and performing deodorization. In the deodorization mode, mist treatment and drying are alternately performed twice each.
