To provide a drum type washing and drying machine by which a degree of clogging of a filter can be precisely detected.
The drying system 6 of the drum type washing and drying machine includes: an air path 32 in communication with the space between a water tank 3 and a drum 4; a blower 31 for sucking air in the space formed together with the drum 4 into the air path 32 and blowing out the air into the drum 4; a dehumidifying path 33 for dehumidifying the air in the air path 32; and a PTC heater 38 for heating the air dehumidified by the dehumidifying path 33. Further, the drum type washing and drying machine has a drying filter 44 removably arranged in the air path 32 to trap foreign matters from the air in the air path 32, and an air volume measuring fan 46 arranged in the downstream side of the drying filter 44 to measure the air volume in the air path 32.
