A water tub 103 having a water tub opening 107 facing an outer casing opening 106 is disposed inside an outer casing 101 having the outer casing opening 106 in the front. A rotary drum 104, whose center axis is inclined relative to a horizontal plane in such a way that the rear part is lower than the front part, is rotatably disposed inside the water tub 103. One end of a driving shaft 139 is fixed to the rear part of the rotary drum 104, and the driving shaft 139 is rotatably supported by a bearing 140. The rotation driving force to be received by the driving shaft 139 is generated by a motor 119. The rotary drum 104 includes a peripheral wall 152 with a plurality of small apertures 109 and a rear end wall 153 continued to the rear end of the peripheral wall 152. The diameter of the rotary drum becomes gradually larger from the front end of the peripheral wall 152 toward the rear end of the peripheral wall 152.
