To achieve a structure capable of reducing uneven washing by securing detergency while reducing the generation of detergent bubbles at reduced manufacturing cost, in a beat-washing drum type washing machine.
The drum type washing machine comprises a washing water circulation channel 28 to rotate inside an outer tub 6 according to the rotation of a rotary drum 5, a water intake 20 disposed in the outer tub 6, a spout 32 for spouting water into the rotary drum 5, and a bubble detecting means 53 composed of a pair of electrodes disposed inside the outer tub 5. In the drum type washing machine, a showering process for showering washing water into the rotary drum 5 through the circulation channel and a beat-washing process for beat-washing the laundry falling with the own weight by the rotation of the rotary drum 5 are alternately executed, but while the bubble detecting means detects bubbles, only the beat-washing process for rotating the rotary drum 5 at low speed is executed without execution of the showering process. Accordingly, filling of the inside of the rotary drum 5 or the outer tub 6 with bubbles can be prevented without impairing the detergency, and impairment of the detergency and penetration of bubbles into electric parts can be prevented.
