Abstract:
The present invention relates to a drum-type washing machine. The invention settles a problem of ensuring enough washing capacity even at the states when a user performs secondary washing or immersion washing, etc. When a washing operation is started at a no-water state of a water-containing barrel (31), which is detected by a water level sensor (45), the washing operation is performed in the washing process according to the dirty degree determination result obtained from an optical sensor (72). When the washing operation is started at a water existing state, which is detected by the water level sensor, the dirty degree determination result which is obtained according to the optical sensor in the washing process is fixed to a stage with most dirt. Therefore, even when the secondary washing is performed or the washing operation is started at the water existing state in the water-containing barrel for immersion washing, sufficient washing capacity is ensured similarly with the normal operation when the washing is started from the no-water state of the water-containing barrel.
