PURPOSE: To stably maintain a component relating to development or post processing of silver halide in an isolated state till its function is to be developed, and to release the isolated state of the component just before the necessary time to obtain a sufficient function by pressing microcapsules before or after heat developing to break capsules to release the inner phase so that the component diffuses in a photosensitive layer.

CONSTITUTION: A heat developable photosensitive material having a photosensitive layer containing silver halide, binder, and reducing agent on a supporting body is exposed for an image and developed by heating to obtain an image. In this process, the heat-developable material contains a component isolated by microcapsules. The photosensitive material is pressed before or after the heat development to break the microcapsules to release the inner phase so that the component diffuses in the photosensitive layer to develop its function. The component included in the microcapsule is an accelerator for image forming, development stopping agent, preventing agent for print out of silver halide, or fixing agent for silver halide.
