Abstract:

To provide a method for stably and easily producing polyurethane yarns having high heat-setting property, high uniformity of yarns, excellent in higher processing property, and further, capable of giving high gloss and dignity of fabric in fabricating to a knitted fabric or a woven cloth, and excellent in shape stability.

This dry spinning method of polyurethane yarns uses a polyurethane having a melting point at 150-270°C measured by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) and a glass transition temperature (Tg) below 0°C as a solute. The objective yarns are obtained by extruding a solution containing the solute through spinnerets into a heating atmosphere and subjecting the as-spun yarns to heating and drying, then paralleling by a non-false twisting method and heat-fusing.
