PURPOSE: To attain reduction in the number of parts, the simplification of a shape, and reduction in cost by carrying/stirring the developer of a device with a simple constitution.

CONSTITUTION: Ultrasonic carrying members 172 and 182 are used instead of a carrying screw used for the lateral stirring of the developer inside a conventional device and a developer flowing down plate provided with an inclined fin on the top surface. The upper ultrasonic carrying member 182 is constituted so that the developer regulated by a doctor 16 and arriving on the member 182 is ultrasonically carried to the right side while being slid to the back side of the device. Then, a developer flowing down hole 181a for dropping a part of the developer on the lower ultrasonic carrying member 172, is formed on the back part of the device. The lower ultrasonic carrying member 172 is constituted so that the developer flowing down from the above-mentioned developer flowing down hole 181a is ultrasonically carried to the front side of the device.
