Abstract:
To improve technology which detects generation of sparks in a dryer utilizing microwaves.SOLUTION: A drum type dryer 60 includes: a housing 1; a drum 3 which is provided inside the housing 1, and which is a storage part for storing an object to be dried; a microwave irradiation part 30 for irradiating microwaves with the object to be dried in the drum 3; and a detection part 39 for detecting electromagnetic waves caused by sparks generated inside the drum 3. The detection part 39 is provided at a contact point or in the vicinity of a gap between members for constituting a shield part for suppressing leakage of the microwaves from the housing 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
