Abstract:
A dryer (1) that can supply drying air into a drum (8) from the rear wall side of the drum and can effectively apply the drying air to laundry in the drum. A depression (39) and a projection (38) are provided on a front face, facing the inside of the drum (8), of a cover (30) mounted on a drum rear wall (18). As a result, a clearance (53) is secured between the cover (30) and the laundry (52). This prevents a small hole (36) in the cover (30) from being closed by the laundry (52), allowing drying air having passed through the small hole (36) and a receiving opening (33) in the drum rear wall (18) to be smoothly supplied from the clearance (53) into the drum (8). As a result, the drying air is effectively applied to the laundry (52) in the drum (8).
