Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable adapting the drying process to the dryness requirement by switching according to whether to circulate and utilize used air discharged from an exhaust duct by shifting a changeover damper to meet the dryness requirement or whether to release the used air to the atmosphere and take in fresh air.
CONSTITUTION: When a second air-intake port 22 of a heating unit 21 is fully closed by a changeover damper 19, fresh outside air is drawn into the heating unit 21 through a first air-intake port 18. This fresh air is heated by a heater 26 and fed to a hopper and used for the drying. This exclusive use of highly dry fresh outside air is most, suited for the requirement for high dryness. When the changeover damper 19 fully closes an exhaust port 28 of an intermediate chamber and fully opens the second air-intake port 22 of the heating unit 21, the used air is fully supplied to the heating unit 21. As a result, excessive drying can be prevented. Therefore, dryness can be controlled as desired by controlling the degree to which the changeover damper 19 is opened.
