Abstract:
To provide a drier for drying a recording medium that prevents deterioration in quality of the recording medium.SOLUTION: A drier includes: a transportation part (302) for transporting a long medium; a heating part (301) for heating the medium in transportation while winding around a peripheral surface of a cylinder; a contact transportation roller (311) disposed downstream in a transportation direction from the heating part, coming into contact with the heating part, winding the medium that is separated from the heating part due to transportation and further transporting the medium; and a cooling part (312) for cooling the contact transportation roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
