Title:
DRYING METHOD FOR SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL AND SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL FOR DRYING TREATMENT WITH IR RAY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0736165
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent irregular drying and decrease in picture qualities even when a photosensitive material is dried in a short time by forming at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing colloidal silica on the one surface of a supporting body.

CONSTITUTION: A silver halide photographic sensitive material is dried by using IR rays in at least a part of drying process. In this method, the photographic sensitive material used has at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing colloidal silica formed on at least one surface of a supporting body. The colloidal silica essentially consists of silicon dioxide and may contain a small amt. of other components such as alumina and sodium, aluminate. Further, the colloidal silica may contain an inorg. base as a stabilizer. It is preferable to add the colloidal silica to the silver halide emulsion after physical or chemical aging to prepare the silver halide emulsion.
