PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of product loss because of the defective drying of a thickly coated section effectively by increasing the spraying air amount of a drying zone in which a liquid composition is coated thicker than in the normal state more than the air amount when passing through the coated section coated in the normal state.

CONSTITUTION: A web 1 coated with a liquid composition and travelling continuously is passed through a plurality of drying zones 41-44, and air is sprayed by inverter rotating control blowers 51-54 onto the coating surface and dried thereon. At that time, the air amount sprayed in the drying zone where a section 2 coated with the liquid composition thicker than the normal state passes through is increased more than the air amount when passing through the coated section 3 coated in the normal state by driving and controlling the blowers 51-54 by means of a microcomputer 8. As a result, the generation of product loss because of the defective drying of the thickly coated section 2 can be prevented.
