Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a drying section having a combination of a single-tire drying group and a double-tire drying group for drying a moving web.
CONSTITUTION: In the initial region of the drying section, at least one of the dryer groups 23 is constituted as a single-felt dryer group in which an endless single-felt F and the web 9 move alternately over cylinders and guide suction rolls. In the final region of the drying section, there is at least one double-felt dryer group in which the web 9 moves alternately over a lower cylinder and an upper cylinder. The single-felt dryer group is provided with an automatic ropeless tail guide device and the double-felt dryer group is also provided with an automatic ropeless tail guide device.
