Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify system constitution and to perform adequate data transfer between two computers by providing an input/output, synchronism, transfer, common resource, and synchronism release control parts, etc. CONSTITUTION:The input/output control part 1 is connected to a CPU bus, and transmits and receives data to and from the synchronism control part 2, transfer control part 3, common resource control part 4, and synchronism release control part 5. When a request for synchronism is made, the synchronism control part 2 holds the request for a specific time and reports it to the other CPU. The transfer control part 3 reports an event occurring to its CPU to the other system and the common resource control part 4 performs control so that only the computer of one system uses a common resource exclusively. Then, transmission control part 7 has a function of communication with the other CPU through a transmission line consisting of optical fibers. Consequently, the dual computer coupling between the computers is carried out properly.
