PURPOSE: To prevent a combustion chamber from being supplied with a mixture of respective fuels and provide a satisfactory combustion property by providing a gaseous fuel supplying device in one of a pair of intake paths communicating to the combustion chamber of an engine body independently of each other and a liquid fuel supplying device in the other.
CONSTITUTION: In a dual-fuel engine having four cylinders and four valves, intake and exhaust manifolds 5, 4 are connected respectively to pairs of intake ports 3a, 3b and exhaust ports 4a, 4b opened to the respective combustion chambers of respective cylinders. A gasoline intake path 5a and CNG(compressed natural gas) intake path 5b branched from the upstream toward the downstream of the intake manifold 5 are separately respectively connected to the intake ports 3a, 3b. A gasoline fuel injector 8 is provided in the downstream position adjacent to the intake port 3a in the gasoline intake path 5a, and a CNG fuel injector 14 common to the respective cylinders is provided in a position before the branches to the respective cylinders in the CNG intake path 5b.
