To provide a dust collecting case which facilitates disposal of collected dust with a single hand with good workability.

The dust collecting case 1 is provided for a power tool which is formed of an electric motor, a housing in which the electric motor is housed, a tip tool driven by the electric motor, and a cover for covering part of the tip tool. Specifically the dust collecting case 1 is detachably mounted on a dust discharge port formed in the cover. A dust collecting case main body 1A has a handle 7 attached thereto, and an opening/closing mechanism for a dust takeout port formed in the dust collecting case main body 1A is arranged in the vicinity of the handle 7. Herein the opening/closing mechanism is formed of an openable lid 6 for opening/closing the dust takeout port formed in the dust collecting case main body 1A, and an opening/closing switch 4 for locking/unlocking fixture of the openable lid 6. The openable lid 6 has a coupling port 3 coupled to the dust discharge port formed in the cover.
