Title:
DUST PREVENTIVE DEVICE FROM FLYING IN PULVERULENT BODY TRANSFER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60223704
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To minimize the quantity of water sprayed and to save labor required in the case of transferring coals and others for thermal power generation, by regulating the quantity of water sprayed at a conveyor belt junction based not only on the coal dust condition at the conveyor belt junction and a coal storage but also on air flow and speed at the coal storage by means of a device as referred to in the title.

CONSTITUTION: A coal dust detector 12 is installed before and behind jet nozzle 9 at the junction of conveyor belts 4 and a coal storage 5, in addition, an nemoscope, an anemometer 23, and a pulviometer 14 are also arranged in the coal storage 5. Signals from these detectors are inputted into an unit which is not shown in the figure but determine the condition for sprinkling, the quantity of water sprayed from the nozzels 9 can be controlled based on the resultant signal from the above-mentioned detectors. In this configuration, the quantity of water containing a small quantity of surfactant 11 is sprayed in a form of three dimensions over coals falling down at the conveyor belt junction. This configuration is capable of reducing the quantity of water sprayed, of saving labor required, and of preventing dust from flying.
