Abstract:
To provide a dye receiving element wherein a substrate layer imparting improved light stability to transferred dye while keeping sufficient adhesiveness is provided between a cushion layer and a dye image receiving layer.
In a dye receiving element for thermal dye transfer obtained by successively providing a cushion layer composed of an acrylic polymer, a substrate layer and a polymer dye image receiving layer on one surface of a support, the substrate layer is composed of polyvinyl acetal and the coating amt. thereof is at least 0.17 g/m2.
