Abstract:
To provide a sensitizing dye of a novel structure that can widen a photosensitive wavelength region, and a photoelectric conversion element and a dye-sensitized solar cell which use the sensitizing dye as a sensitizing dye for photoelectric conversion to efficiently extract current, achieving excellent photoelectric conversion.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a sensitizing dye represented by general formula (1) (where R1 and R2 independently represent an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group or the like; R3-R8 independently represent H, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkenyl group or the like; R1 and R2, R4 and R5, R7 and R8 may be bound to each other to form a ring; m is an integer of 0-4; if m is 2-4, a plurality of R7 and R8 may be the same or different; X is a monovalent group).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
