Abstract:
To provide a modified photocatalyst particle and a modified photocatalyst composition comprising the modified photocatalyst particle and its monomer and/or resin, capable of securely fixing to the surface of a substrate under mild conditions without impairment of its activity by forming a coating containing the modified photocatalyst on the surface of the substrate.
The modified photocatalyst particle is obtained by modifying/treating a photocatalyst particle using a modifying agent compound containing a spectral sensitizing group and having at least one kind of structure unit selected from the group consisting of a specified mono-oxy di-organo silane unit, a specified di-oxy organo silane unit, and a specified di-fluoro methylene unit.
