Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a stable brake force over a wide speed range by connecting a DC reactor with the DC side terminal of a self-excited converter, connecting the AC terminal of an induction motor with the AC side terminal, and controlling the converter. CONSTITUTION:Self-extinguishing semiconductor elements 5-10 and filter capacitors 11-13 form a self-excited converter, a DC reactor 14 is connected with the DC side terminal of the converter, and the AC side terminal of an induction motor 3 is connected with the AC side terminal. The terminal voltage of the motor 3 is detected by a detector 17, and a deviation from a voltage reference value 16 is applied through a voltage control amplifier 19 and a limiter 20 to a comparator 22. The comparator 22 outputs a deviation between the output of the limiter 20 and the output current of the converter, and applies its output through a current control amplifier 23 to a phase controller 24, thereby controlling the timings of ON and OFF of the elements 5-10.
