Abstract:

To suppress communication cost and to speedily manage the operation situation of plural vehicles by providing a position information transmission means which directly transmits position information of the vehicles, which are obtained by means of a switch means through the use of a GPS satellite during a call from a portable telephone set.

A collection/delivery device 12 transmits data request information to plural vehicles 14-1 to 14-n in accordance with an indication from a personal computer 11 and the respective vehicles switch data communication and the call in accordance with received data request information and position information on the vehicles, which are obtained by using the GPS satellite (global positioning system) during the call are directly transmitted from the portable telephone set without the aid of a MODEM. Thus, the personal computer 11 grasps the dynamic form of the respective vehicles based on position information on the vehicles, which are collected from the plural vehicles.
