To provide a dynamic pressure bearing excellent in durability and easy in manufacture.
A dynamic pressure bearing has a cylindrical outer cylinder member having the hollow part, an inside column member 12 fitted to and installed in the hollow part of the outer cylinder member 11 and thrust plates 13, 14 installed on both ends of this inside column member 12 and respectively opposed to the upper end surface or the lower end surface of the outer cylinder member 11, the inside column member 12 has a columnar base material and hydrogenated amorphous diamond layers of the surface of the peripheral surface and a dynamic pressure generating groove is bored up to the depth extending to the inside of the base material from the surface of the hydrogenated amorphous diamond layers. The thrust plates 13, 14 have a disk-shaped base material, the hydrogenated amorphous diamond layers 13b, 14b formed on a plane of the base material and a dynamic pressure generating groove having the depth extending to the inside of the base material from the surface of the hydrogenated amorphous diamond layers 13b, 14b.
