Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR system for an internal combustion engine, the internal combustion engine and an EGR control method for the internal combustion engine, which can reduce load of an engine control unit while maintaining appropriate control of an opening/closing state of an EGR bypass valve in accordance with an operating state of the engine and can easily respond to an individual difference between a sensor and the EGR bypass valve.SOLUTION: In an EGR system 1 for an internal combustion engine comprising a bypass passage 20 for bypassing an EGR cooler 15 provided in an EGR passage 14 and an EGR bypass valve 21, a temperature sensor 30 for detecting a temperature of engine cooling water W is provided in a flow passage of the engine cooling water W, and by using an output signal of the temperature sensor 30, an opening/closing state of the EGR bypass valve 21 is directly controlled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
