Title:
EARTH RETAINING WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3266791
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with temporary support works and save labors in the block-installation works and save labors for charging works of back-filling material and make it efficient, by stacking concrete blocks at a slant which protrude a fitting projection which prevents blocks stacked just upward from tumbling back, from the upper end.
SOLUTION: Leveling concrete 12 is placed on a foundation material 11 and foundation blocks 4 are installed thereon. The first stage block bodies 7 are arranged parallelly on the foundation blocks 4. In this time, the fitting projection 6' preventing tumbling is contained in a recess of the under face of the block body 7. Next, the second stage blocks are stacked and the fitting projection 6 preventing tumbling backward is contained in a recess of the second stage block body 7. These stacked block bodies 7 are fixed by the projections 6 and the self-standing condition is kept. And hence, it is not necessary that these blocks are retained by temporary supports 15 until these are supported by a back-filling material.
