Title:
EARTH STATION DEVICE, SATELLITE COMMUNICATION DEVICE, AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3828056
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently conduct a handover when a plurality of non-geostationary satellites conduct a synod at a predetermined synodical point.
SOLUTION: An earth station 30 receives a signal 201 of (n) channel by frequency bands F1'-Fn' from a satellite (1) 21, when the satellite (1) 21 and a satellite (2) 22 do not locate near a synodical point. When they locate near the synodical point, the earth station 30 transmits a control signal to turn on an SW (switch) 2211 of the satellite (2) 22 and to let the satellite (2) 22 transmit a signal 202 of the same (n) channel by frequency bands F1''-Fn''. After the earth station 30 receives the signal 201 from the satellite (1) 21 and the signal 202 from the satellite (2) 22 in repeated parallel for a fixed time interval, the earth station 30 transmits a control signal to the satellite (1) 21 to turn off an SW 2111 for stopping transmission of the signal 201 from the satellite (1) 21, and conduct a handover from the satellite (1) 21 to the satellite (2) 22.
