Abstract:

To restrict the magnitude of relative motion when two civil engineering structures receive violent mechanical stress by connecting two movable part pieces, and providing at least one intermediate joint joining means between a part of a connecting means plastically deformable during relative motion of the movable part pieces and one of the movable part pieces.

A damper 13 arranged between a floor surface 1 and a column 7 has a beam 14 and a joint joining ring 15, and the beam 14 is joined by a joint so as to rotate around a shaft 16 at a right angle to a plane T to a link 15. The link 15 is substantially parallel to the axis 16 to the column 7 to be joined by a joint so as to rotate around the axis 20 connected to a part piece 21 fixed to the column 7, and has a coupler 22. The coupler 22 has viscous behavior and high sensitivity to a deformation speed, and brings about instantaneous deformation for considering motion of a floor surface 1 under low speed deformation, and high speed deformation brings about dispersion of mechanical energy by the lock action and/or friction of the coupler 22 on stress of at least a specific range, and vibration can be restricted.
