Title:
EARTHQUAKE RESISTING STRUCTURE FOR BUILDING HAVING CORE WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2699811
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for an indoor large beam and to effectively utilize the space by a method wherein a core wall is built on one side of a building formed in a rectangular shape in cross section, an outer periphery forms frame structure, and a top girder is arranged between the core wall and the frame of a roof floor.
CONSTITUTION: In the direction of the short side of a building, a conventional rigid-frame structure comprises a core wall 1 made of reinforced concrete burdened with a horizontal force during the occurrence of an earthquake and a top girder 2 arranged between an outer peripheral frame and a core wall 1. A fall moment at the lower floor of the core wall 1 produced by the horizontal force of an earthquake suppressed by re-bending operation of the top girder 2. The outer peripheral frame forms structure burdened only with an axial tension owing to re-bending and a long term axial tension. In the direction of the long side of the building, the outer frame made of reinforced concrete is burdened with an earthquake force.
