An earthquake resistant slit member 3 comprises a pair of retaining members 5a and 5b, a cushion material 6 disposed between the both retaining members 5a and 5b, and a reinforcing metal fitting 7 for connecting the both retaining members 5a and 5b to a separator 8. The respective retaining members 5a and 5b and the cushion material 6 are integrated using adhesive, etc. The reinforcing metal fitting 7 is formed by bending a strip material having a spring performance into a U shape. Lock parts 16a and 16b are provided in the both ends in its opening side and the respective lock parts 16a and 16b are locked to flashing parts 14 of the respective retaining members 5a and 5b from the side of forms 4a and 4b. The end part in the connecting side of the reinforcing metal fitting 7 is provided with a lock recess part opened downward and the lock recess part is locked to the separator 8 from the upper side.
