Abstract:

To provide a monolithic refractory that can easily be dried and can exhibit high strength, without using hydraulic cement.SOLUTION: The easily dryable high strength monolithic refractory is constituted by further incorporating at least 0.5 wt.% of anhydrous silicic alkali glass fine powder not including particles larger than 44 μm with respect to 100 wt.% of a refractory material composition including silica flour with a mean particle diameter of 1 μm or less in an amount of from 2 to 20 volume%, together with a refractory material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
