PURPOSE: To eliminate failure of photography due to defective winding-up of film, by providing a back lid of cartridge containing chamber, a back lid opening knob outside camera body, a rotating body coupled to said knob, and a film cutter, and taking up the film after cutting off the leader part.

CONSTITUTION: A back lid 4 is opened by setting a back lid opening knob 13 to OPEN position, and a cartridge 2 is loaded. When the knob 13 is turned in CLOSE direction, a rotating body 10 rotates in the direction of arrow, and a protruding part 11 pushes up a film cutter 7 through its supporting member 9. As a result, the blade edge of the cutter 7 cut the film F in cooperation with grooves 14 in the inner side of the back lid 4. As the knob 13 approaches the CLOSE position, the protruding part 11 passes over the dead point, and the blade edge of the cutter is dislocated below from a film passage 8 due to action of a spring 12, so that the film F may be taken up. Hence, since the film may be wound up securely regardless of the length of film leader part F', failure of photography due to defective winding-up may be eliminated.
