Abstract:
To provide new valve seat structure.SOLUTION: An eccentric rotary valve V1 is provided that has: a cylindrical valve cage 1 in which fluid flows; a valve stem 2 inserted into the valve cage in such a manner that an axial center a thereof is separated from an axial center c of the valve cage; a valve element 3 eccentrically disposed in the valve stem; a valve element valve seat 3a of which the axial center is inclined to the axial center of the valve cage; and a valve cage valve seat 1a orthogonal to the axial center of the valve cage from which the valve element valve seat is separated and with which the valve element valve seat contact. Seat portions 5 of the valve element valve seat and the valve cage valve seat each have elliptical spherical surfaces, or respectively have an elliptical spherical surface and an elliptical conical surface, or each have the conical spherical surfaces. Thus, an approach angle of the valve element is generated to be applied as a torque seal, and a valve closing action is stabilized. Since contact portions (seat surfaces) 5 of both valve seats 1a, 3a are kept into contact with an ellipse vertical to a valve cage axial direction to close the valve, a sufficient flow channel cross-sectional area can be obtained, and further since the valve cage 1 of a size substantially same as that of a conventional one can be used, a nominal diameter is not changed and a face-to-face distance is not changed. Thus, the eccentric rotary valve can be applied to a pipe conduit of the same nominal diameter (face-to-face dimension can be matched to standard).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
