Abstract:

To provide an echo canceler which causes less distortion than the conventional device.

A ripple disintegrating section 25 disintegrates a reference signal u(n) into a plurality of reference packets and another ripple disintegrating section 21 disintegrates an echo signal x(n) into a plurality of echo packets. An adaptive filter back 23 receives and filters a plurality of reference packets and generated a plurality of filtered ripple packets copying the echo packets correspondingly to the reference packets. A subtractor 26 separately receives the filtered ripple packets, separately subtracts the filtered ripple packets from the echo packets, generates a plurality of error signals corresponding to the subtraction, and applies the error signals to the filter bank 23. A ripple reconstructing section 27 forms a residual signal e(n) by receiving and reconstructing the error signals.
