Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy current type speed reduction device capable of outputting a braking torque of a multi-step with simple structure.SOLUTION: The speed reduction device comprises: a rotor (1); a plurality of permanent magnets (3); a plurality of pole pieces (4); a magnet holding ring (2); a stator (7); a fluid pressure cylinder (20); an actuator (23); and a spacer (22). Each of the permanent magnets (3) is opposite to the rotor (1) with a space. Each of the pole pieces (4) is provided in a space between the rotor (1) and the magnet (3). The stator (7) rotatably supports the ring (2) and holds the pole pieces (4). The cylinder (20) rotates the ring (2) in accordance with the advancing/retracting of a piston rod (21), and switches a braking and a non-braking. The spacer (7) is coupled to a rod (24) of an actuator (23), and limits the advance of the piston rod (21) by coming in contact with a tip (21a) of the advancing spin rod (21).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
