SOLUTION: This edge-protecting member to be mounted on an edge of a matter to be protected is composed of holding parts 4 oppositely formed for holding from both sides of the edge of the matter to be protected and adhesive layers 6 each formed at the holding part 4 on a position close to the edge and meltable for sticking to the edge when heated at a specified temperature.
