The edging member to be driven to an overlapped portion of slate boards used as roof material to form a predetermined space at the overlapped portion includes: two leg portions which are extended forward while including raised portions raised upward and contact with the slate boards in a point-like or linear manner; an erected portion erected upward from the respective rear ends of the two leg portions; and a folded portion protruded forward from the upper end of the erected portion. The slate board located on the upper side of the overlapped slate boards is held by the raised portions formed on the two leg portions and the folded portion.
