This glycerol fatty acid ester which has excellent immediate effectivity and is useful for mitigating the premenstrual syndrome, characterized in that at least one group at the 1- and 3-positions is γ-linolenic acid. The premenstrual syndrome-mitigating agent, the food and the drink for mitigating the premenstrual syndrome, and the edible oil or fat composition for mitigating the premenstrual syndrome, each containing the glycerol fatty acid ester.
