PURPOSE: To obtain the subject oil-and-fat and spicy oil intended to enable natural-nutrient-rich red palm oil to be used as a cooking oil suitable for general household as well as business use by making the red palm oil adaptable to Japanese climate.
CONSTITUTION: This edible vegetable oil-and-fat comprises 30-70wt.% of red palm oil and 70-30wt.% of another vegetable oil-and-fat. This composition erases a problem of solidification of red palm oil at about 4°C as a drawback of the oil and also does not impair the flavor of the other vegetable oil-and-fat by making use of the fact that the red palm all is tasteless and odorless. Thereby, the objective edible vegetable oil-and-fat rich in natural nutrients such as α-carotene, β-carotene and vitamin E can be obtained.
