Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user grasp and specify basic shapes which are not latent in a finally obtained three-dimensional shape by a three-dimensional CAD system which generates a three-dimensional shape by sequentially combines basic shapes.
SOLUTION: This is a solid editing method of the three-dimensional CAD system which completes a final three-dimensional shape through a stage where basic shapes displayed on a display screen are combined through an operation part and composed of a step for displaying halfway shapes from a 1st basic shape as a starting shape to the final three-dimensional shape on the display screen, a selection step for selecting one of the displayed halfway shapes, and a step for regarding the basic shape combined finally with the selected halfway shapes as an object to be edited.
