Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an egg container having a structure capable of keeping the same productivity with that of the conventional egg container, substantially and completely preventing any insects from entering the container and further keeping a sanitary state within the container.
SOLUTION: There is provided an egg packaging container in which a sheet raw material of synthetic resin is bulged out and molded, wherein a container main body 1 having a plurality of egg storing notches 11... capable of storing lower half segments of the eggs formed side by side and a lid 2 provided with a notch 21 covering the upper half segments of the eggs are integrally formed in such a way that they can be folded via one side folding segment 5. Seal closing protrusions 3 having a U-shaped section are formed at the entire periphery of any one of these container main body 1 and the lid 2 or formed continuously over three sides except the free end edges. Seal closing protrusion-fitting notches 4 for receiving the seal closing protrusions 3 are formed at the other and at the entire periphery or at three sides except the longitudinal end edge of any one of them. At a lid closing attitude, these seal closing protrusions 3 and the seal closing protrusion fitting notches 4 provide a seal closing in the container to prevent insects from entering while being relatively fitted to each other.
