Abstract:
To perform optimum EGR when necessary even if an operation state of an engine is brought into a low-rotation high-load state.SOLUTION: An EGR system comprises: an EGR passage 22 for making a part of exhaust emission discharged to an exhaust passage 3 from an engine 1 flow to an intake passage 2 as an EGR gas, and making it recirculate to the engine 1; an EGR valve 24 for adjusting a flow rate of the EGR gas in the EGR passage 22; a cutoff valve 26 for opening and closing the EGR passage 22 in the vicinity of a point in which the EGR passage 22 communicates with the exhaust passage 3, being an upstream side rather than the EGR valve 24; operation state detection means 71 to 74 for detecting an operation state of the engine 1; and an electronic control device (ECU) 80 for controlling the EGR valve 24 and the cutoff valve 26 according to the detected operation state. When the detected operation state reaches an EGR start temperature or higher, and is brought into a low-rotation high-load state, the ECU 80 controls the cutoff valve 26 following an EGR cut requirement.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
