Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection foaming apparatus capable of producing stick- like or spherical foam having a prescribed length by cutting a plasticized material injected by an injection just before foaming and cutting the plasticized material so as to enable ready classification of defective product. SOLUTION: A material is weighed while plasticizing by rotation of a screw by a motor 17 for injection and the plasticized material is injected at a high speed from a nozzle 15 by forward movement of the screw due to the motor 18 for injection and the plasticized material injected from the nozzle 15 is successively cut directly before foaming the plasticized material by operation of a cutter blade 22 of a cutter unit 2 arranged in the top part of the nozzle 15 to produce foam having a prescribed length. Then, a cutter motor 21 is controlled so as not to carry out cutting operation of the cutter blade 22 corresponding to beginning and last cutting of the injected plasticized material. Thereby, foam having a prescribed length and defective foam longer than a prescribed length are prepared to enable ready classification of the defective product.
