Abstract:
To provide an elastic pile warp knit which is thin and superior in durability.
An elastic pile warp knit comprises: several pillar stitches 12 formed by extending ground yarn 14 having elasticity; pile knitted fabric 17 formed between a neighboring pair of pillar stitches in the several pillar stitch 12 using pile yarn 18 and stepping over with an interval G not less than 2 courses; and insertion yarn 16 inserted in each stitch 14a of the ground yarn 14 and the pile yarn 18. A pile loop 18b of the pile knitted fabric 17 is formed by a shrinkage of the pillar stitch 12 with relaxation of the ground yarn 14 after knitting.
