PURPOSE: To stabilize transmission torque, in an elastic shaft coupling for elastically connecting two shafts, by making it into a structure of good balance so that when power is transmitted the axes of the two shafts can be prevented from becoming eccentric.
CONSTITUTION: The total number of the projected engaging parts of a solid shaft 56 is made to be an even number so that the shape of the solid shaft is made to be point symmetry making a center of the axes, and also the positions where elastic member 58 are not provided are set between two projected engaging parts 56a, 56b which are opposite each other at 180° and the inner wall surfaces of the hollow hole of a pipe shaft 57 facing thereto. Thus, the balancing of the elastic shaft coupling itself can be improved, so that when power is transmitted, the centers of axes of the solid shaft 56 and the pipe shaft 57 can be prevented from becoming eccentric.
