To provide an electret capacitor microphone unit which is increased in sensitivity by press-fitting a fixed electrode in an insulating member, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.

The electret capacitor microphone unit includes a diaphragm 3, a ring-shaped diaphragm holder where the diaphragm is fixed, the fixed electrode 11 disposed opposite the diaphragm to constitute a capacitor with the diaphragm, a circuit board having an impedance converter, and an insulating member 10 disposed between the fixed electrode and circuit board to position and fix the fixed electrode to a capsule type case. In this case, the manufacturing method of the electret capacitor microphone unit includes a first step of installing the fixed electrode on a glass plane, a second step of engaging the fixed electrode and insulating member with each other, and a third step of coating engagement surfaces between the fixed electrode and insulating member with an organic solvent.
